Significant bespoke interior changes
Our coachbuilt Breadvan Hommage will feature not only a custom designed aluminium exterior. We will also make significant changes to the interior. The interior of each coachbuilt car is an important factor of our personalisation services. To a unique design tailor-made materials, colours and textures will be applied. The craftsmanship of the coachbuilder for the exterior is matched by the artistry and expertise of the upholsterer. The interior is the place to which knowledge of many parties will be applied. The research done when starting the project, will ensure only relevant changes are made. Like the exterior, the design process for the interior also starts with sketches, drawings and doodles. After that, key sketch and final renderings followed. The craftspeople working on the interior translate our work through their mastery.
Pronounced blue alcantara seats
Our journey of inspiration started at the world of 1960 racing. Soaking up the character of the distinctive designs. In addition, looking at trim and materials installed on hand-finished cars of the days. These bespoke sports cars are very inspirational. However, we do take design liberties. We push the project forwards. Breadvan Hommage is a personal collaboration between the design team and the patron. We decided the car needs both subtle customisations and bold design statements. Focussing on the seats we chose to pronounce original volumes and proportions. We do not only honour the original Breadvan, but also focus on the base car. Above all, the new design is an enhancement of the original shapes, rather a complete re-design. Together we source materials and look at interesting stitches. The team also decides on how many millimetres of padding to apply.
Exquisite individual details
All leather will be removed from the carbon fibre backed seats. The blue alcantara we’ve chosen originates in racing. It will make our Breadvan Hommage interior a bold design statement! Many individual details are worth mentioning. The more pronounced surfaces described above being only one of them. The colour-coded double stitching we’ve chosen is also important. We worked on many different ideas. Amongst which a selection of stitching applications. The version chosen makes the seat surfaces come alive. It shows the handmade character of the car. We also decided for a subtle headrest embroidery. It makes the car a little bit more unique. We will show this design element in one of the coming updates.
