As a design studio renowned for feeding the passion of its enthusiasts, Niels van Roij Design understands the desire of customers to create a car that reflects their personality to the finest details. To cater to these dreams, the Sonderwunsch programme was established. This programme handles special modifications and conversions of series vehicles, including custom one-off models.
The Sonderwunsch programme stands for a world where almost anything is possible. Whether it’s a commission of customised colour and material during vehicle production, a later re-commission, or a One-Off made at our design house, the craftspeople and engineers of Niels van Roij Design can make it happen. Main principles of the Sonderwunsch programme?
Three main pillars define the core of the Sonderwunsch programme. The first, Commission, allows customers to choose specific colours and trims for cars or build a car with individual options.
The second pillar is the Re-Commission. Depending on the vehicle, either the team from our classic department or from our exclusive division is involved. Here, the customer brings their car to us and presents their desired configuration – how they would have built the car. Together with the customer, we agree on the final configuration to create their own original version of their car. Once the Re-Commission process is complete, the car leaves our place to the owner. The expert help from our team ensures the customer’s dream is truly fulfilled.
The last column is One-Offs. This differs from the other two in that we develop completely new parts for it. We work with new cars and also classic vehicles.
